Please forgive us, Father, for doubting our purpose on this earth. We confess just how often we run away from what You are expecting us to do because we might feel it is too hard. And now, as we all await the outcome of this surgery prayer, we feel compelled to go back and grab every opportunity in life that has ever passed us by to walk within your light in pursuit of Your will for our lives. Please God, forgive our disobedience, and the lack of respect for Your timing, plans and your will. Father, we trust only You with our lives. For You always promise us: “Lord my God, I called to you for help, and you healed me.” (Psalm 30:2)
God Bless the surgeons and all medical staff that will operate on us with Gods will. Be with them, guide them and equip them to be the extensions of Your healing hand. Remain present with me at all times, Lord, even when I am asleep from pain medications. Help me to feel Your presence at all times, and always remember that You are with me every second of the day. Never leaving and always faithful. Loving me more than I am capable of ever understanding.
And now for the most difficult part: Truly trusting in you for the outcome of my life that is in Your hands. For when our plans for healing really don’t look the same as Yours that we become very frustrated, and that faith threatens to pull out of our hearts. Doubt can then seep in through the cracks in many unexpected circumstances. In those moments, Our strong faith, strengthens us to always remember You. Your ways are never our ways, because only You can claim real true love for us. Only You know what is real and truth and just in the daily happenings of our daily lives. Our time here is just a blink of the eye, but having true faith in You ensures us a Pain free life full of peace.
Please help us to hold on to that belief forever. To hold onto You. As we travel life’s roads of uncertainty, send Your Holy light to inspire our heart’s memory of Your kind words of promise. Help us to recall and believe in the promises You’ve given us through Your Words. Spread your warmth with our families and friends as they worry and wonder what the outcome would be. Inspire Your love into their hearts and please assure them that my life is always in Your hands.
Dear God, please let all who know me witness my peace in this process, and let them know that it is from You. Thank You for our life, God. Bless and heal me through this prayer for surgery.
